Spring & Summer Beauty Trends With Stila

We are one week into spring and quite frankly anything winter is just a nuisance at this point. I have even ditched my winter nail polish for fresh and vibrant spring colours. As you know, it’s good to swap out your beauty and makeup product each season. You should be cleaning your brushes and makeup on a regular basis but if you are a bit lazy when it comes to this, now is the time. Before you put away makeup such as eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks or any makeup you use during the warmer months make sure you clean and disinfect. If it’s old, and looking not so good, get rid of it!

Stila has some great new products to get you into the spring mood. For the Stila girl, I know this is a big deal for you. Stila makes beautiful quality products which is why you love them so much.

Here are a few new must-have spring and summer products by Stila:

Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow

This shadow collection reminds me of the 1970s. It’s glitter and glamour. The wand applicator makes it easy to apply and there’s no mess! A great addition to your makeup bag and great for day to night wear. Have somewhere to go? Add a touch of this shadow and you’re ready for a night out.

Stay All Day® Liquid Lipstick

Who doesn’t love lipstick that they put on and don’t have to think about for another 6 hours?! If this is what you are looking for this might be your perfect lip-match. It comes in other colours, the above colour Angelo is one of their newest colours. This long-lasting lipstick goes on creamy and weightless. It contains Avocado Oil and Vitamin E – nourish and lock in moisture.

Matte ‘N Metal Eye Shadow Palette

My favourite thing about this palette is that it comes with a perfect mix of shimmery tones like a nice rose gold and golden bronze and matte shades. Another item worthy of the travel girl who wants to carry very little.

Heaven’s Hue Highlighter

I love glowing skin. It’s vibrant and it’s youthful. This highlighter has a nice smooth finish. I love this bronze hue. You will notice it’s spongey to the touch. What makes it so good? It warms into your skin for a barely there look and it contains ultra fine light diffusing particles which give you a natural glow.

Color Balm Lipstick – Summer 2017

I love the whole concept of a lipstick and lip balm combination. As you know, lipsticks can dry out or irritate your lips. This balm lipstick by Stila contains Peppermint Oils – nourish and calm your lips. It’s contains concentrated plant-based emollients that give it a creamy texture.

CLEANING YOU MAKEUP

You have probably seen pro makeup artists clean their brushes and makeup many times. Just like them, you need to keep it clean and sanitary. Buy disposable mascara wands and sponges. Always use a spray to clean off makeup after each use, and never use an unclean brush on your face of dip it back into your makeup.

The easiest and cheapest cleaner is rubbing alcohol. You can put it in a mini spray bottle and spray and lightly wipe what you would like to clean with a clean kleenex after each use. You can also wet a makeup brush and gently dab the surface of a palette or blush for example, then gently wipe.

Here is a great makeup brush cleaner:

This is a nice gentle cleaner. It disinfects and it’s safe for both synthetic and natural brushes. You may also use this to clean palettes, shadows and blushes.
