Emotional Detox Books – Get Over It!

I told you I was going to help you on your emotional detox journey. I know a few of you have been waiting for my book suggestions to help you while you emotionally detox your life. There are so many great tools for you to use while detoxing. Here is my first selection of emotional detox books – Get Over It! Thought Therapy For Healing the Hard Stuff, by Iyanla Vanzant. Don’t you hate it when people tell you to just get over it?! We all do, but it’s the TRUTH. If you are serious about having the life you want, you need to let go.

For some reason, we never hold on to our fond memories of the past. We don’t try to relive the good and talk about it like it was just yesterday. We have no issue rehashing negative past experiences. Wherever you go, you talk about that horrible time in your life and give it meaning in your present moment. It’s time to change this habit because it’s taking away from the new beginnings that are waiting for you.

Here is your first emotional detox book:

Get Over It! Thought Therapy For Healing the Hard Stuff, by Iyanla Vanzant

What’s Inside:

  • This book forces you to take accountability. What are you doing to make your life better? Are you doing the work? Vanzant wants you to take a good look at yourself and see that you are the master of your own life.
  • How to move past negative experiences through using energy-clearing tools
  • 42 prayers and affirmations that will help you “neutralize and eliminate the unconscious, unproductive, soul-destroying dominant negative thought patterns (DNTPs) and discordant emotional energies”.
  • You will be forced to unearth the root cause of your personal suffering. Further, you will also see how you have allowed this to influence your behaviour and in turn shape your present moment.

If you don’t have time to read this book, although I think you should always make time for self-care, you can listen to the audiobook. Stop talking yourself out of that stuff you need to do.

I hope your seasonal emotional detox is going well. Remember it’s never too late to get your life back on track. Emotional detoxes require a lot of effort from you but it’s more than worth it.
