While we look for ways to become conscious consumers we need to think about the items we use regularly. I bet you haven’t even considered the packaging that your favourite green beauty (clean – free of toxins) shampoo and conditioner comes in. I know it says recycle and yes recycling is an important part of the process of reducing waste and you can also reuse the bottle now since a lot of companies offer refills. Another option, one that they used to use in the old day is bar soap. You can show love to mother earth, buy bar shampoo & conditioner. Less waste, easy to travel with and loaded with nourishing essentials oils that condition your hair and scalp and strengthens that gorgeous mane.

If you have used black bar soap before, then you are well aware that it’s great for your hair and skin. In fact black bar homemade soap is where it all started, what your ancestors used to wash their entire body as well as their clothing. Soaps were made with natural ingredients from the earth. Ingredients that were not harmful for you and also for the environment. As you know the chemicals we use go into our water system and this has a negative impact on our health and the entire eco-system. There are liquid soaps that are made with clean and safe ingredients as well.

Using a bar shampoo and conditioner reduces waste. It also saves you a ton of space in your shower! Here are a few I think you should try! I have tried them all and I love them!
