Love At The Red Light

For some of you, it feels like you are living your own version of the hit Netflix show ‘Love Is Blind’. You met someone online a few days or a week ago and social distancing is keeping you apart. Even if it isn’t a lover, we are all currently experiencing love at the red light since we can’t be close to the ones that we love. It makes you realize what’s important and what or who you need to worry less about. None the less, it’s important, while we sit at this red light in our lives that we keep love in our hearts.

When this song was written it spoke to the times of modern dating. We have so much access to connections yet we seem to feel so little love. We often find ourselves in complicated dating situations where she loves him and he loves her or him or them; everyone. It makes you feel like there is no green light where love is concerned; this is love at the red light.

Sometimes we need to stop at a red light so the traffic can clear, our hearts can make sense of what’s happening. This is where we are right now, this is where you are right now whether you are missing a lover, fighting with one or getting restless in social isolation.

For now, we will sit and wait with hopeful and open hearts. We will prepare ourselves so when the light turns green we are ready for more love. YES, MORE LOVE.
