GREEN LUXE: We Love MyChelle’s Refining Sugar Cleanser

I love trying new products, well products that don’t make you breakout. Products that do what they say they will do and don’t irritate your skin. For the last few weeks, I have been trying a few MyChelle products, you will be reading my thoughts in the coming weeks. As you know, I try a lot of products. Something I love and hate at the same time because you can have a bad reaction. Yes, as glamourous as beauty testing may appear to those on the outside. It’s not always all that glam and I am sure many beauty testers and reviewers will tell you some horror stories. I am happy to say that MyChelle’s Refining Sugar Cleanser it just what this beauty goddess needed. I just got back from Africa, where it’s nice and warm and I was eating the best fresh organic food. Back in Canada, it’s cold, there’s organic food but it’s not the same. I know when I travel back and forth from hotter places to Canada during the winter, my skin kind of hates me a little. It all depends on the amount of traveling. None the less, cold weather = dry skin. Product testing during the colder months is probably not the best idea. During the winter, what you need is mild, nourishing, soothing and moisturizing products.

If you are going to try something new, I would say try them when the season just starts or slightly before and transition into the new season. You’re skin with thank you and it won’t be such a shock to your skin. During each seasonal change, the most important thing is the moisture levels of your skin. I don’t believe in drying out your skin. As a result, I am not a fan of the matte look. If you are on the fast track to premature aging, the matte look will get you there. Particularly if you do this every single day. You should take a few days off a week from heavy makeup application and let your skin breathe. There’s a difference between dewy moisturized skin and super oily.  If you don’t know, oily skin is dehydrated. If you want to balance the oils on your skin, drink water! So whether you have oily skin or dry skin, water is normally the missing element! What’s one of the cheapest ways to have great skin, drink water and eat well!

FYI – coffee might be ruining your skin as well. We will talk about this soon!

MyChelle Refining Sugar Cleanser

I have been using MyChelle’s natural sugar Vanilla-infused cleanser for the last 2 1/2 weeks. Guess what?! Yes, I seriously love it. As with any new product, I eased into it. Every other day to start in the morning and now every morning. Sometimes I have used it before bed instead. I haven’t used it twice a day, maybe as time progresses. If you need a gentle exfoliating cleanser this a great choice! It comes in a lightweight tube. It has a sweet sugary scent to it. It caters to your exfoliation needs since the sugar crystals dissolve when you add more water. For a deep exfoliation keep it thick and for a lighter exfoliation add more water and dissolve sugar crystals in your hand. I was a little concerned about the sugar, I have never used sugar on my face. I normally use rice based exfoliators. The sugar is actually quite gentle and since it dissolves as you massage your skin and add more water there’s no messy cleanup, it just rinses right off like a mildly foaming cleanser.

You will notice your face feels smooth and plump with moisture. It makes a difference in the overall appearance of your skin. You will also notice that your serums and moisturizers go on smoothly; better absorbency.
