Green Luxe: LXMI Creme du Nil & Pure Nilotica Melt Tube

This brand is wonderful, not just because the products are of high quality and simply divine. It’s the story behind the brand that really touches my heart. LXMI was founded by Leila Janah after she discovered, Nilotica, an heirloom shea varietal, in Northern Uganda. For those of you who don’t know, I was born in Zimbabwe and my heritage is Ugandan. With the launch of LXMI, her goal was to create fair-wage jobs while restoring the planet. You will notice that I will feature more green beauty brands in the coming week. This week’s green luxe: LXMI Creme du Nil & Pure Nilotica Melt Tube. As we experience this shift in the world it’s important to support brands that care about the greater good.

Sadly at 37 years old, after a long battle, Leila passed away early 2020 from Epithelioid Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. My hope is that the work she has done, lifting over 50,000 people out of poverty in India and East Africa, through her Give Work initiative lives on for generations to come.

You can get this from The Detox Market in-store or online or from LXMI’s website. I hope you love it as much as I do!
