Summer Fragrance: CLEAN Reserve Citrus Fig

It’s officially summer time! Another excuse to buy a new fragrance. I have been testing a few summer fragrances in the last few weeks. It’s never a bad idea to get a small sample to see how a fragrance wears and whether or not it works well with your PH. Everyone is different and the best scent can actually smell quite awful on some people. I am sure I have said this before but a fragrance should never overpower you. It needs to sit perfectly on your skin, like a second skin. For those who are new to the site, take a look at my interview with Master Perfumer Roja Dove to find out the right way to apply fragrance and other great facts that you may not know about perfume.

The fragrance world has expanded tremendously over the years. Every time I walk into Saks Fith Avenue I discover a new scent. Buying perfume is likened to buying the perfect coat and right pair of shoes. Since the good stuff isn’t cheap, you definitely want to take your time when selecting a new scent. AsĀ you know I collect fragrance and I actually use them all. There’s not one perfume bottle that I have that sits there getting dusty. I pick my scents with care. Therefore, I think you should as well. It’s nice to know that you can cater the scent you wear to your mood, the season, the time of day and the outfit you are wearing. A simple outfit can transform into a sexy and sultry look with the right scent. It’s amazing how the smell of Mandarin or Cardamon can ignite feelings of the past or take you to far off places.

I love CLEAN perfume so I am always looking for a new CLEAN fragranceĀ  t0 add to my repertoire. I often layer scents and I find that CLEAN can layer with many of the perfumes I have. I will normally spray my CLEAN scent on after I shower and layer it with another scent later in the day. It’s a great way to create your own unique scent. You can layer with other CLEAN fragrances or any other brand that you feel works well.

CLEAN Reserve – Citrus FigĀ

Citrus Fig is one of the new scents added to the CLEAN Reserve Collection. Don’t be fooled by the name. It’s quite a sophisticated scent. It’s more alluring than playful. It’s a beautiful marriage of earthy spices, woods, and citrus. Top notes of Green Fig, Ginger, and Lemon Oil make feel you are lounging in Mykonos. Middles notes of Mandarin, Mint, Cardamon, Copaiba (Citrus Green) form a nice bridge between Base notes of Musk, Sandalwood, and Cedar Wood.

As you know you can layer CLEAN scents and create your own unique fragrance.

PAIR WITH:

CLEAN Reserve – Blonde Rose (one of my favourites)

CLEAN Reserve – Sel Santal

CLEAN Reserve – Sueded Oud
