Spring Fragrances with CLEAN

I am currently obsessed with fresh flowers. I love the way they brighten and freshen up a space. I am literally at the flower store once a week, luckily I found one that sells fresh gorgeous flowers that aren’t over priced. I love floral scents during the winter but I particularly love them during the warmer months. The combination of the heat and peonies or lilies infused with amber and lavender are simply divine. You definitely don’t want a heavy musky scent during the warmer months. A scent that’s light and playful should be your go to for everyday. I would reserve strong scents for winter months or a night out on the town when you need a strong lasting fragrance. You know, the kind of scent you can still smell at 2am because you left your house at 8pm for dinner and dancing with the girls!

I am not sure if you are familiar with CLEAN...I hope so. They make what I call shower fresh scents. Not too over powering, just right. They have come a long way since 2003 when they first introduced their crisp scents. They now offer an array of scents to compliment various sensibilities.

“We believed then, as we do now, that you wear your scent, it doesn’t wear you.” – CLEAN

I couldn’t agree more with the idea that a scent shouldn’t over power or overwhelm the senses. It should work nicely with your natural PH. I am not sure if you know but CLEAN takes it a step further by making perfumes that are gentle for your skin and not full of sulfates, parabens, pore clogging oils or toxins. You guys know by now how I feel about knowing what’s in the products you put in your body and on your skin. Remember your skin is the largest organ and absorbs what you put on it.

CLEAN BLOSSOM

This is a floral scent. I would say it’s flirtatious and feminine. With top notes of Yellow Freesia, Tunisian Neroli (I love this note) and Seringa Petals dancing along with base notes of Cotton Wood, Sensual Sandalwood and Skin Musk. Mid Notes of Blue Dianthus, Orange Blossom, Rain Lily and Georgia Magnolia bring this scent to the perfect place – floral enchantment.

CLEAN – RESERVE – Amber Saffron

I am unapologetically in love with amber. I like it on its own (amber oil) or infused with other scents. I am not sure if it’s the combination of notes: Amber, Bergamot Armoise Artemisia, Mandarin Oil, Rose, Lily, Raspberry and Musk, Saffron. This scent is alluring; it’s sexy. It screams inner confidence and self-acceptance. I would say it’s for the kind of lady who likes to indulge her senses and her sensual side. It’s perfect during the day but can take you right into the evening. You know the nights when you have a simple dress on and maybe a touch of jewelry, one simple necklace. This scent is the best accessory, it’s that finishing touch.

PAIR WITH:

• Sueded Oud
• Smoked Vetiver
• Velvet Flora

CLEAN – RESERVE – Blonde Rose

Initially, I found this scent to be very over powering. It’s a bit strong at first spray but as the day wore on it settled on my skin nicely. I am wearing it now as I type because I really wanted to give you a real sense of it. It feels like I just stepped out of a soothing bubble bath. You know those nights when you fill the tub with essential oils and a touch of rose-water, light a few candles and sip on vino…or tea (jasmine I am imagining). It’s a subtle floral scent with earthy undertones. It’s a sophisticated union of Aldehydic Watery, Rose, Peony, Jasmine, Cedarwood, Sandalwood and Musk. Definitely a classic scent that you won’t be disappointed with. It comes in strong and then settles itself on your skin creating a nice natural balanced scent.

PAIR WITH:

• Sueded Oud
• Smoked Vetiver

I included a few of the pairings for the reserve collection. You can layer scents with this fragrance collection. Actually a few of the other CLEAN scents are great layered with other scents.
