Hudson’s Bay Red Carpet Celebration for the 40th Toronto International Film Festival

It’s that time of the year again, when the city of Toronto turns into Canadian Hollywood. The Toronto International Film Festival, now in it’s 40th year, is set to kick-off September 10th. Don’t worry you have a lot of time for star sightings and to view a lot of films because it closes September 20th.

To keep this celebration truly hollywood glamorous, The Hudson’s Bay, who has partnered with the Toronto International Film Festival, now for five years, as the Official Fashion Retailer, will beautifully transform the carpets of three of the Festivals key venues – Roy Thomson Hall, Ryerson Theatre and TIFF Bell Lightbox.

“As a proud Canadian company we believe in supporting premier events like the Toronto International Film Festival, which has elevated the film industry in Canada and promoted Canada as a cultural leader to the international community,” said Liz Rodbell, president, Hudson’s Bay. “We are especially excited to partner with the world-renowned festival this year, on its 40th anniversary.”

As the Official Fashion Retailer, “Stars on Stripes, you can get all the latest details and best red carpet looks during the festival. It’s pretty much a front row experience right at your finger tips.

More Exciting News! The Hudson’s Bay, has partnered with Entertainment One and Bleecker Street for a special presentation of the highly-anticipated biopic Trumbo starring Bryan Cranston, Diane Lane, Louis C.K., Elle Fanning, John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Helen Mirren (directed by Jay Roach and written by John McNamara). It can be viewed at the Elgin Theatre, followed by a post premier cocktail party.

I know I am looking forward to seeing the latest fashion trends. According to Suzanne Timmins, senior vice president and fashion director at the Hudson’s Bay, “expect to see deepened jewel tones such as emerald and teal, and black reinvented with eye-catching embellishments and sheer inserts, on the red carpet this Festival”.
