Green Grooming: Natural & Organic Face Masks For Men

Going Green Luxe isn’t just for the ladies. I know a lot of gents want to be green when it comes to personal care and grooming. Of course, I couldn’t leave out all of the boyfriends out there! I find more and more men are starting to realize the importance of taking care of your skin. Good skin is a sign of good health and vitality.

Let’s clear something up, in the land of natural and organic skincare you will find that skincare products are not gendered. What’s good for her may be good for you. It’s time to analyze your skin and figure out your SKIN CODE, that is what kind of skin do you have. What would you like to improve or maintain? There are brands that don’t fall into the green category that make skincare products specifically for men and in a lot of cases are not geared towards her skincare needs. When you go green, things change quite a bit. Of course, it if smells like sandalwood and cedar she may not want to use your face mask but it all depends on an individuals skin and preference. That’s not to say every non-green product is specifically gendered either. Hopefully, we can help you figure out your SKIN CODE. Don’t be afraid to use a product that’s for her because that’s how it’s marketed. Start looking at ingredients and select products based on your individual SKIN CODE.

We will be breaking down the SKIN CODE basics, so be sure to keep checking the site!

Here are a few of my green mask picks:

Tata Harper Resurfacing Face Mask

I love this brand. In my opinion, it’s a unisex skincare line. So if you are coupled you can share this with your significant other. Honestly, I would be quite impressed with a guy who even knows about Tata Harper, just saying. A man who takes the time to find good products, I love. For those who shave, tan or play sports it’s good to give your skin some TLC at least once a week.

Why is it so good?

  • You will glow (not like a spotlight) but people will notice your skin
  • smaller pores and smooth skin
  • remove dead skin, unclog congested skin.
  • It contains willow bark (natural salicylic acid alternative for spots), rose clay, soothing aloe, beet root extract and amazing essential oils that nourish and soothe your skin.

Acure Organics Facial Mask

If you want green that’s wallet friendly, then you will love Acure products. Not only is it a cure for your skin and planet, it’s a cure for your bank account. I am trying to include as many affordable green brands as I can. It’s not always an easy find but Acure is one of my favorites! This is a natural product and not organic product, find out the difference HERE.

Why is it so good?

  • It’s vegan, paraben & sulfate free
  • cruelty-free (not tested on animals)
  • It contains a few of my favourite essential oils and extracts: my beloved Moroccan argan extract and oil (I buy these individually), chlorella, olive oil fruit, rosehip extract, calendula flower extract, French green clay and CoQ10 – all of these ingredients are amazing for the skin.

May Lindstrom Problem Solver Mask

Don’t we all want something that solves all our problems?! Well, this mask will solve your problems and her problems…skin problems. The other stuff, well, you can read some life tips on THE THINGS or FEED section of the site. May Lindstrom has some of the best skincare products. The problem solver mask is amazing, I love the fact that you get to mix it yourself, well add water, but it makes you feel like you’re at the spa but at home. Perfect time to get into a bath and unwind.

  • It’s antioxidant-rich with Raw Cacao, healing Bamboo Charcoal, salts and warming exotic spices.
  • Detoxifies skin, tightens pores, fights blemishes and promotes circulation.
  • The ingredient in this mask are harvested at the height of potency, this ensures the best results.
