Adult Halloween Costume Accessories

Halloween is just a week away! I have been debating on whether or not I would like to buy a costume, make one or wear something glam and Halloween themed instead. The great thing about Halloween is that you can be whoever you want to be. You can go in any direction you please with your costume choice. Sometimes you have what you need at home to create a great costume, you just need great accessories to finish the look. I have sequin cat ears that I bought a few years back and I still love them. I wanted to add a touch a glam to my Halloween minus the traditional costume fuss. I also like them because I can wear them to a few Halloween parties and just change my outfit. If you are not sure what to do and don’t want to buy more than one costume consider getting a few adult Halloween costume accessories that will give you the freedom to create a unique costume.

You don’t have to break the bank to have an amazing costume. It’s amazing what you can come up with when you put your mind to it and get creative. Whether you want to be mysterious, humorous or sexy, Halloween is all about having fun!

Here are a few great adult Halloween costume accessories for you to consider:

Obviously, hair accessories are an easy statement piece and something simple to build your costume off of. You can get great 3 piece sets that come with ears, a bow-tie, and a tail. You can dress it up, do something sexy and sultry, something simple or a combination of all three. If it’s the only Halloween item you plan to use, you can experiment with makeup by using bold lipstick colors such as black or burgundy or glitter shadows which are trending this season.

You can’t go wrong with a cape. You can pretty much go in so many directions with this cape. You can be a vampire, the grim reaper, a zombie, a vampire zombie…whatever your imagination dreams up. It’s also usually cold on Halloween so it will keep you warm and Halloween stylish at the same time. If you have time, you can sew on some accents such as lace or red velvet details around the collar, add some patches or even spray paint; make it your own. It also comes in white and green. You can also get a velvet cape as well (I love the red one!!)

I am not sure about you, but I am not a pro when it comes to Halloween makeup! I wouldn’t say this is an accessory but it’s pretty much a foolproof way to spend little on a great adult Halloween costume! You can wear whatever you want and add the accessories and pieces that you feel work for you. I have seen many people do this during Halloween where you have too many parties to go to and seriously just want to wear something fashionable but still take part in a bit of dress up. They also come in unisex designs as well.

I am in love with these! This is a great Halloween accessory and I would say it’s a little more on the sophisticated side. They’re just beautiful and a must. There are so many costume variations you can do with these exotic feather wings.

A lace mask is another great adult Halloween costume accessory. It’s mysterious, sultry and sexy. You have so many options when it comes to clothing. You can also use the cape above! If you decide to wear a face mask, look for one that’s breathable and above the nose. Wear bold liner and shadow. A great strong lipstick color is also in order.
